Plot

In 1992, Sandi Tan, a teenager in Singapore, created the country's first indie road film alongside her mysterious American mentor, Georges. However, the project took a dark turn when Georges disappeared, taking the footage with him. Fast forward twenty years, the lost 16mm film resurfaces, prompting Tan—now a novelist in Los Angeles—to embark on a deeply personal journey. Her quest to uncover the truth behind Georges' disappearance intertwines with the film's legacy, exploring themes of creativity, loss, and the passage of time.
