Plot
Henri La Tour, a charismatic wandering performer, finds himself thrust into adventure when King Louis XV honors him with a title, igniting the jealousy of the Duke of Saint-Sever. The two engage in a duel, but their conflict is interrupted by a sudden attack from Austrian soldiers. Forced to join forces, they fend off their common enemy. Tragically, Saint-Sever suffers a fatal wound in the battle. As he faces his end, he implores Henri to safeguard his illegitimate daughter, Toinon, who is in peril, setting the stage for a gripping tale of honor and loyalty.
