Plot

Amidst the encroaching threat of deforestation in Brazil's Mato Grosso, the last remnants of the Piripkura tribe fight to preserve their traditional lifestyle. Pakyî and Tamandua, the final two members of this nomadic group, navigate the lush yet perilous rainforest, depending on a machete, an ax, and a torch ignited in 1998. Their struggle highlights the urgent clash between modernity and indigenous culture, showcasing a poignant journey of survival and resilience against the backdrop of environmental degradation.
