Plot

Yisroel "Izzy" Jonigkeyt, a Chassidic Jew from Crown Heights, heads to San Francisco to visit his Polish Catholic friend Marek Wisniewski. He aims to uncover the reasons behind the self-destructive tendencies of Harry Kierk, a provocative figure in the local art scene. As their visit unfolds, Izzy and Marek confront the deep-seated historical tensions that shape their friendship. Complicating matters further is Marek's cousin Irek, whose subtle anti-Semitism creates additional strain as they attempt to connect with Kierk. Together, they navigate this intricate web of culture and conflict, revealing the complexities of their identities.
