Carols from King's (2019)

Plot

Carols from King's

A solo chorister opens the festive celebration at King’s College, Cambridge, with the classic "Once in Royal David's City" amid a beautifully candlelit chapel. Under the first-time direction of Daniel Hyde, the renowned choir performs a mix of traditional and contemporary carols, including Vaughan Williams' "Sussex Carol," Elizabeth Maconchy's "There is No Rose," and Adolphe Adam's "O Holy Night," arranged by J.E. West. The Christmas narrative unfolds through the King James Bible and poetry from Patrick Carey and Ruth Padel, with the service officiated by the Rev Dr. Stephen Cherry and the Rev Andrew Hammond.
