Plot
Set in a quaint French town after World War II, 16-year-old Janine is determined to change her circumstances through any means she can find. Along her journey, she encounters three pivotal figures: Michel, her married paramour; Raoul, a companion in crime; and Mauricette, a photographer she befriends while incarcerated. Each of these individuals plays a crucial role in helping Janine reflect on her choices and navigate the complexities of her life.
