Rule Number One (2008)

Plot

Rookie Sergeant Lee finds himself sidelined after a shoot-out and is unexpectedly assigned to the eccentric Miscellaneous Affairs Department (MAD). Teaming up with the cynical, hard-drinking Inspector Wong, Lee quickly learns that MAD handles supernatural inquiries. Wong emphasizes the department's guiding principle: rule number one states that ghosts do not exist. They believe that each mysterious occurrence can be traced back to logical, scientific reasons. As Lee navigates this unconventional realm, he begins to question everything he thought he knew about reality and the unseen forces that might lurk beyond.
