Plot
Noriko enjoys a content life at home with her widowed father, Shukichi, showing no interest in marriage. However, her aunt Masa persuades Shukichi that unless he finds a suitor for his 27-year-old daughter, she may face a lonely future. As Noriko pushes back against Masa's attempts at matchmaking, Shukichi grapples with a difficult decision. To honor societal expectations and protect his daughter, he resorts to deception, ultimately sacrificing his own well-being for what he perceives as the right path for Noriko's happiness.
