Set against the backdrop of the American West, The Daughter of Dawn features an all-Native American cast, making it a remarkable silent film of its time. The narrative centers on a Kiowa woman and her courageous partner, who must navigate the challenges posed by a vengeful rival and menacing Comanche warriors. Although completed in 1920, the film saw limited screenings and was presumed lost for decades. In a fortunate turn of events, five reels resurfaced in 2005, leading to a restoration by the Oklahoma Historical Society in 2012, reviving its legacy.
