Plot

Set in 18th-century Austria, a witch-hunter's apprentice grapples with his conscience as he observes the horrific realities of his trade. Confronted by the rampant brutality, wrongful accusations, and horrific torture inflicted on innocent victims, he begins to question the morality of his master’s zealous crusade against witchcraft. As the apprentice delves deeper into the dark world of fanaticism, he must choose between loyalty to tradition and the pursuit of justice, ultimately challenging the very foundations of the witch-hunting practices that surround him.
