Nathan, portrayed by Ethan Bortnick, faces a whirlwind of challenges after his mother, Army lieutenant Margaret Peters (Lacy Chabert), disappears during a tsunami relief mission in Japan. Back in Detroit, Nathan uncovers a startling family secret: his father, George (Jonathan Bennett), isn’t his biological parent. Fearing separation, he flees, embarking on a journey through the streets of Detroit. There, he encounters Captain Miles, a homeless veteran who becomes a mentor and guide. The film touches on themes of homelessness, military life, and adoption, featuring an original score co-written by Bortnick and Grammy-winning songwriter Gary Baker.
