Plot

In "Dead Heat" (2002), Boston detective Pally finds himself grappling with an unexpected early retirement that strains his marriage. To lift his spirits, his stepbrother Ray introduces him to a potentially lucrative racehorse. Their excitement quickly turns to dread when a local mob boss seizes the horse as retribution for an unpaid gambling debt. Undeterred, Pally and Ray dive into a perilous realm of crime and treachery to recover their investment.
