What Do Men Want? (1921)

Plot

In this Lois Weber film, the confusion of male desires is humorously explored. Frank (J. Frank Glendon) starts off aspiring to be an inventor, then shifts his focus to marrying his beloved childhood friend, Hallie (the enchanting Claire Windsor). As their life unfolds, he yearns for children. However, after achieving wealth through his inventions, Frank becomes discontented and seeks companionship with another woman. His infatuation wanes when he discovers her questionable reputation, leading him to realize he truly wants to return to his wife.
