Plot
Luisa rushes to Karlstein Castle to be with her ailing mother, Edith. On her deathbed, Edith reveals the dark legacy of the Karlstein family, claiming they are vampires, with the original Count Karlstein entombed nearby. After discovering the count's coffin, Luisa is shocked to learn he is still alive. Meanwhile, her romantic involvement with her cousin Karine unfolds against a backdrop of mystery, as Inspector Ptuschko probes a spate of gruesome murders in town. He remains skeptical of the locals’ claims that vampires are behind the terror gripping the community.
