Plot

Greta Nissen portrays an Italian noblewoman leading a perilous double life as a spy in this thrilling remake of the German classic, Spione am Werk. Set against the backdrop of Vienna in 1912, the story unfolds when an Austrian officer is wrongfully linked to a notorious Italian spy, forcing him into hiding. Fast forward three years, with World War I escalating, he returns to plead with the Austrian Secret Service for a chance to vindicate himself and escape the shadow of suspicion that haunts him.
