Plot
Jim is on the brink of his inaugural professional boxing match when he encounters Whetu, a gay Maori youth who occupies a rundown beach shack. Their unexpected connection prompts Jim to reassess not only his boxing aspirations but also his identity and feelings. As he grapples with self-discovery and societal expectations, the relationship with Whetu challenges him to confront the complexities of his life, ultimately forcing him to choose between the sport he loves and the truth of who he is.
