In 2067, Japan isolates itself from the global community, enacting strict regulations on robotic technology in response to international pressure. This self-imposed seclusion creates a fortress-like environment where no one can enter or exit. By 2077, this isolation is shattered when the rogue group S.W.O.R.D. infiltrates Japan. Their objective is to uncover whether Japan is secretly advancing prohibited robotic bio-technology, deemed dangerous to humanity. As tensions escalate between humans and machines, the very future of humanity hangs in the balance, risking devastation in the conflict.
