Plot

Seventeen-year-old Tennie's life takes a nosedive just before prom, largely due to the aftermath of her mother’s death. Meanwhile, her father, Robert, an advertising executive eager to reconnect with her, struggles to balance his professional life and their strained relationship. Ignoring his therapist's advice, Robert enlists the help of his young driver, Jack, to learn more about Tennie's world. As Tennie navigates her academic pressures and her quirky family dynamics, she devises a plan: to distract her father by encouraging him to date, hoping it will ease his overzealous attempts to bond.
