Plot

Yoon-jeong, a prodigious young painter from a lineage of esteemed court artists, faces a harsh reality; her family expects her brother to uphold their legacy, leaving her talent unrecognized due to societal norms. Secretly, she assists him by painting while he trains for his role. Tragedy strikes when her brother takes his own life, prompting Yoon-jeong to adopt his identity to uphold family honor. As Yun-bok, she impresses master Kim Hong-do with her artistry, yet faces backlash for her bold representations of women. Torn between her newfound love for Kang-mu and her desires, she grapples with the choice of living authentically.
