Plot

Mike Spillone, a phony private investigator, is enlisted by two elderly women to uncover whether Brigitte, the wife of their nephew Otello Bellomo, is being unfaithful. Unbeknownst to them, Brigitte is a doctor. As Mike and his sidekick Johnny dig deeper, they stumble upon her with the marquis De Vitti, a man recently shot by a jealous husband after trying to woo another woman. Their investigation takes another turn when Spillone mistakenly encounters Brigitte with Otello, leading him to suspect that he is her secret lover instead of the truth.
