Plot

Emily feels the absence of her daughter, Heather, who is away at college in Boston. With Heather planning a trip to Phoenix with her boyfriend, she deceives her mother into believing she’s studying instead. Seeking a change, Emily arranges a house swap with Charles, a Boston professor needing quiet in Washington State to work on his novel. Surprising Heather in Boston, Emily inadvertently complicates matters when her best friend, Faith, encounters Charles at her home, while Charles’ brother, Ray, finds Emily at his brother’s condo after a call. Will unexpected twists spark new connections this Christmas?
