Plot
Set against the backdrop of 1970s Rome, a struggling nuclear family navigates turmoil and unfulfilled desires. Clara, an expatriate Spaniard, finds herself trapped in an unhappy marriage to Felice, an unfaithful businessman who mistreats her. Their children, Adriana, Gino, and Diana, face their own challenges, particularly 12-year-old Adriana, who grapples with gender dysphoria and chooses to identify as Andrea. As Andrea develops feelings for Sara, a Roma girl who sees him as a boy, a bond forms between him and Clara, both feeling like outsiders in their own lives.
