Plot

In a gritty New Hampshire town, the foul-mouthed slacker John "Rugged" Rudgate believes he's a master criminal. After an altercation with a local plumber at a bar, Rugged seeks revenge by contaminating the man's water with brake fluid. However, when the plumber dies from unrelated issues, Rugged and his dim-witted friend Jeff scramble to conceal their misdeed, convinced they are responsible. Their clumsy attempts at a cover-up lead to a series of chaotic and comedic events, revealing the lengths they will go to evade the consequences of their actions.
