Plot

Henrik Vogler, a meticulous theater director, frequently lingers post-rehearsal to strategize and reflect. One evening, Anna, the leading actress in his latest adaptation of Strindberg's A Dream Play, returns under the pretense of searching for a lost bracelet. As they converse, Anna reveals her deep-seated resentment for her deceased mother, a once-celebrated actress and Vogler's former muse and lover, whose alcoholism marred their relationship. The encounter stirs complex emotions as past connections intertwine with present ambitions, revealing the shadows that haunt both their lives.
