Plot

A battle-hardened sergeant, who fought in World War I, now guides his squad through the harrowing experiences of World War II. Alongside him are the steadfast Pvt. Griff, the aspiring writer Pvt. Zab, the Sicilian Pvt. Vinci, and Pvt. Johnson. Their journey takes them across Vichy French Africa, Sicily, and the chaos of D-Day at Omaha Beach, culminating in Belgium and France. Ultimately, they confront the grim realities of war in a Czechoslovakian concentration camp, where the horrors they face reveal the darkest aspects of humanity amidst the backdrop of conflict.
