Plot

Johnny Mack Brown stars as Bill Fargo in Universal's Fighting Bill Fargo. Upon returning to his hometown, Fargo inherits his father's newspaper and soon finds himself entangled in a web of political corruption orchestrated by the ruthless Hackett (Kenneth Harlan). Hackett has a notorious reputation for eliminating any honest contenders for the sheriff's position, and as Fargo navigates these treacherous waters, he must confront both the corrupt power players and his own principles.
