Plot
Vladimir Dubrouvsky, a Russian army lieutenant, attracts the attention of Czarina Catherine II, but he rejects her advances and escapes, prompting a deadly manhunt. After discovering that the nefarious Kyrilla Troekouroff has seized his father's estate, Vladimir dons the persona of The Black Eagle following his father's death. Disguised as a French tutor, he infiltrates the Troekouroff home to seek revenge. However, his plans take an unexpected turn when he finds himself falling for Kyrilla's daughter, Mascha, complicating his quest for justice.
