Plot

Tigre, captain of the pirate ship Santa Maria, seeks to retire and plans to hand over command to the victor of a contest among his crew. To everyone's surprise, his daughter Consuelo emerges as the champion. Tragedy strikes when Tigre is murdered that same night, and William is wrongfully accused, facing execution. Just as the sentence looms, Grand Duke Inigo of Spain intervenes. Consuelo manages to flee, but this is merely the beginning of Inigo's wife’s scheme to seize the pirates' hidden treasure, setting off a chain of treachery and adventure.
