Plot

In "Ruthless People," Sam Stone harbors such intense disdain for his wife, Barbara, that he secretly wishes for her demise. His delight reaches new heights when a pair of kidnappers abduct her, demanding a ransom of $500,000. Rather than comply with their demands, Sam plans to let the kidnappers handle his problem, hoping they will take care of Barbara for him. However, the bumbling kidnappers find themselves in a quandary, struggling to devise a plan to secure their ransom while dealing with the domineering and unyielding Barbara.
