Plot
Ford Brody, a Navy bomb specialist, is enjoying a reunion with his family in San Francisco when he receives an urgent call to assist his estranged father, Joe, in Japan. Their lives take a dramatic turn as an ancient alpha predator emerges from the ocean to confront dangerous foes intent on obliterating humanity. As these titanic creatures clash, chaos ensues, wreaking havoc and devastation. The epic showdown ultimately leads them toward San Francisco, where the fate of the city—and humanity—hangs in the balance.
