The Living and the Dead (2006)

Plot

In "The Living and the Dead," Lord Donald and Lady Nancy live in the decaying grandeur of Longleigh House, alongside their adult son, James, who has a mental disability. As Nancy's health deteriorates, Donald plans to sell their home to afford her medical treatment. He hires a nurse, Mary, to care for Nancy while he attends to the sale. However, James, eager to prove his capability, locks Mary out, believing he can manage on his own. As he struggles to care for his mother, he begins to mix up her medications and neglect his own, leading to a dangerous decline in both their well-being.
