One Good Turn (1931)

Plot

Stan and Ollie, struggling for food, charm a kind elderly woman into sharing her sandwiches. While dining, they inadvertently learn that her landlord plans to evict her over unpaid mortgage. Unbeknownst to the duo, she is merely rehearsing for a play. Eager to assist, they opt to auction off their car. Chaos ensues when a tipsy man slips a wallet into Stan's pocket, leading Ollie to wrongfully accuse him of theft. As the situation unfolds, Stan gets his payback on Ollie, delivering a hilarious twist to their well-intentioned but misguided efforts.
