Life After Life (2017)

Plot

A young boy chases a hare through the forest, followed closely by a dog and his hesitant father. After a brief silence envelops the woods, the boy emerges transformed, now speaking with the voice of his deceased mother, Xiuying. Rather than expressing disbelief, Mingchung inquires why she didn’t return sooner. Xiuying reveals she has one final task: to replant the tree outside their deserted home. Her presence signifies a poignant connection to the past, as she seeks closure for both herself and her family.
