Plot

Andrew Sterling, a successful Black writer, purchases a vacation home in a New England resort, only to be mistaken for a burglar by local police. The situation escalates as Chief Tolliver surrounds the property with armed officers, but upon realizing the error, he scrambles to mitigate the fallout. In a bid to save face, the chief offers a deal to Amos Odell, a petty thief in custody. This unlikely pair navigates a whirlwind of chaos and misunderstandings, ultimately challenging societal perceptions along the way.
