Plot
Dashing reporter Vincent Bullit returns from covering the Spanish Civil War, only to find himself facing new challenges at home. Newspaper tycoon Fullerton invites him to his estate to write articles on European affairs before sending him to China. However, complications arise when Fullerton's teenage daughter, Alice, develops a crush on the much older Bullit. Her earnest suitor, the boy scout Ken Warren, struggles to compete for her affections. With Mr. and Mrs. Fullerton, Ken, and even Vincent trying to redirect Alice's infatuation, they find it hard to sway her during this tumultuous time of adolescence.
