Plot
Set in 18th century Maramureș, Romania, Grigore Pintea, a Romanian officer, returns home only to discover the tragic fate of his parents and the brutal treatment of his fellow villagers by the oppressive Bartolok Graff. Fueled by grief and injustice, Pintea abandons the Austrian army to become an outlaw. Rallying a group of peasants, he leads them in a rebellion, successfully seizing control of two fortresses. His journey transforms from a personal vendetta into a fight for the rights and dignity of his people against tyranny.
