Plot

In "Night and Day," struggling songwriter Cole Porter faces disappointment after a failed stage production and decides to join the military during WWI. While recuperating from an injury in a hospital, he charms nurse Linda Lee with his creative spirit. Their love takes a backseat as he heads back to New York, where he achieves great success with his shows. Eventually, Cole reunites with Linda in Europe, and they tie the knot. However, their happiness is soon challenged by marital strife and unsettling news about a beloved family member, putting their relationship to the test.
