Plot

Set against the harsh Norwegian winter of 1915, Bastøy Island becomes a battleground for young inmates aged 11 to 18, trapped in a brutal reform school. The arrival of Erling, a newcomer with a fierce desire for freedom, sparks hope among the boys. Following a heart-wrenching event, Erling rallies the group to rise up against their oppressors. Their rebellion successfully seizes control of the island, only to provoke a swift response from 150 soldiers sent to quell the uprising and restore authority. The struggle for liberation escalates, testing their resolve and unity.
