When Pigs Have Wings (2011)

Plot

After a fierce storm, Jafaar, a struggling fisherman in Gaza, discovers an unexpected catch: a pig. This unwelcome surprise poses a significant problem, as both Islam and Judaism regard the animal as impure. Desperate to rid himself of the pig, Jafaar seeks buyers, first approaching a United Nations official and then a Jewish community where Yelena raises pigs for security purposes. Navigating this precarious situation proves perilous, as he must evade scrutiny from his fellow Palestinians, Israeli soldiers, and Islamic extremists, leading to a series of comedic and tense misadventures.
