Plot

After eight years behind bars, Samuel makes his way back to his old neighborhood, grappling with the choices that shaped his past. While he contemplates his purpose in life—boxing—he discovers that much has shifted during his absence. Joe, his former coach, is now mentoring a promising fighter named Víctor. To reclaim his spot in the ring, Samuel must demonstrate his worth, but he reluctantly takes on the role of Víctor's chata (sparring partner) to provide for his family. The narrative explores the struggles of individuals seemingly destined to fail.
