Plot

Thirteen-year-old Ady has grown distant from his single father, who, facing financial struggles, sends him to spend the summer with his uncle Amadou in Burkina Faso. Anticipating a fun vacation, Ady soon discovers that the experience is about much more than leisure; it’s a rite of passage into manhood. As he navigates the challenges of his new environment, Ady grapples with expectations and cultural differences, ultimately confronting the realities of growing up far from home.
