Plot
Madame Rosa, a retired prostitute and Auschwitz survivor, lives in a cramped sixth-floor apartment in Pigalle, nurturing children of other sex workers. Among them, Momo, an Algerian boy, stands out as her favorite, raised in the Muslim faith. As Madame Rosa ages and becomes less capable of caring for her foster children, Momo takes on more responsibilities, struggling to make ends meet by performing with a puppet on the streets. A budding friendship with a film editor named Nadine and the unexpected return of his father complicate matters. As her health declines, Momo faces the daunting task of ensuring her safety and well-being.
