A House Made of Splinters (2023)

Plot

In a makeshift shelter for abandoned children near the front lines of eastern Ukraine, a dedicated team of social workers strives to create a nurturing environment amid chaos. Though the house is modest and shows signs of wear, it becomes a sanctuary filled with warmth, offering vulnerable kids a temporary haven for up to nine months. During their stay, the caregivers work tirelessly to instill a sense of stability and normalcy, all while the children's uncertain futures hang in the balance, shaped by the complexities of the system that governs their lives.
