Plot
In 1945, as Stalin tightens his grip on Poland, renowned artist Wladislaw Strzeminski stands firm against the oppressive doctrine of social realism. Facing persecution and losing his position at the university, he finds himself increasingly marginalized, even disappearing from museum exhibits. Undeterred, Strzeminski rallies his students to challenge the Party's constraints, emerging as a powerful symbol of artistic defiance against intellectual oppression. His journey reflects the struggle for creative freedom in a time of political turmoil, as he fights to preserve the integrity of his art.
