Violent Is the Word for Curly (1938)

Plot

Tasked with running a gas station, the bumbling stooges inadvertently blow up a car belonging to three distinguished European professors. Seizing the opportunity, they steal the professors' clothes and infiltrate "Mildew," a women's college expecting the academics. Mistaken for the genuine professors, they assume teaching roles. When the actual professors arrive, the stooges scramble to impress a wealthy benefactor by promoting an athletics program. Their demonstration takes a chaotic turn when the real professors sabotage them with a nitroglycerin-filled basketball, leading to a hilariously explosive conclusion.
