Plot

Set against the tumultuous backdrop of June 1914 Sarajevo, this thriller directed by Andreas Prochaska follows Dr. Leo Pfeffer, an examining magistrate portrayed by Florian Teichtmeister. As he delves into the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, Leo grapples with rampant lawlessness, betrayal, and political intrigue. Amidst these chaotic times, he fights to uphold his integrity while desperately trying to protect his beloved Marija and her influential Serbian merchant father. Unbeknownst to him, the unfolding events are on a collision course that will lead to the outbreak of the Great War.
