Plot
On a secluded island near Hong Kong, the affluent residents revel in an annual operatic celebration. Despite their wealth, police chief Yuan Kuei grows suspicious, believing he’s uncovered a narcotics operation. He assigns his officers to monitor the activities of the opera performers. However, unbeknownst to him, the islanders are thriving off the hidden riches from an ancestral raid on a government gold galleon long ago. In addition to the buried treasure, they have inadvertently concealed a dormant vampire beneath a pagoda, complicating the island's seemingly idyllic existence.
