Plot

Special prosecutor John Conroy is determined to take down organized crime in his city and enlists his father, cop Matt, as chief investigator. Matt's hesitation confounds John, but cynical reporter Jerry McKibbon suspects the truth: he has witnessed Matt's connection to mob lieutenant Harrigan. As Jerry grapples with his loyalty to John and his growing feelings for John's girlfriend Amanda, tensions rise. Meanwhile, the mobsters resort to escalating violence to protect their interests, complicating the already fraught situation for everyone involved.
