Mondays in the Sun (2002)

Plot

Following the shutdown of a shipyard in Northern Spain, a tight-knit group of former workers—Santa, José, Lino, Amador, Sergei, and Reina—struggles to adapt to their new reality. They frequently gather at a bar run by their ex-colleague, Rico. Santa emerges as the group's unofficial leader, exuding a façade of confidence despite facing a legal battle over a protest-related incident. Meanwhile, José grapples with resentment as his wife, Ana, secures a job while he remains unemployed, highlighting the emotional and social challenges they all face in the wake of their shared loss.
