Plot

Determined to win back his girlfriend, Mike Shayne vows to abandon his detective career for a job as a riveter in an aircraft factory. However, his resolve is tested when he becomes embroiled in the investigation of stolen industrial diamonds from the facility's safe. Using a series of aliases, he follows the trail from a dress factory to a cruise ship heading to Hawaii. Amid numerous assassination attempts, Shayne uncovers a Nazi smuggling operation, yet the whereabouts of the missing diamonds remain a tantalizing mystery.
